It can be stored just below the torso armor (pointing up or down, your choice). Still, this is a phenomenal figures and a MUST own, especially if you are trying ti complete your ODST squad from the game!īuck comes with a detachable knife. At least, the speckled effect that Mega uses could have been done here to make this look a little more authentic. The other is that the forearm and thighs should have the camouflage look. There are only two small points about this that I would have liked to seen. The torso underneath is indeed that of a female spartan. THat’s actually a good solution (though Id’ rather have had shoulder armor). Instead, the little bumps meant for shoulder armor to attach to are painted red. (Spartan Buck came with the Scorpion Sting set, while Spartan Locke came with the Vulture Gunship set). Spartan Vale Our third member of Fireteam Osiris to be made. I actually enjoy that as it makes the armor seem battle worn. This is the Halo Wars era Master Chief and he looks AWESOME! The armor has a slight bit of speckling to it. So I suppose Thorne went back and made them match…
I do want to point out that the shoulder armor was different from each other in Halo 4. For one we get the detailing as well as the shoulder symbols. For now (as many of you probably have been), I’ve been using the one from last year that came in the ‘ Rapid Attack Ghost‘ set as my stand-in Thorne. I am VERY happy to have an officially named Thorne.
Though I think I’d have gone with a different color detail as it doesn’t contrast enough with the armor color.

That this one comes in lime green, my second favorite color, plus a non-copper visor (which is the standard) really helps to set this figure apart from other generic Spartans. I have to admit that I really like the Defender armor in general. The Orbital above has some nice white painted detailing. Still, once I got them in had, I was pretty happy with them. I had figured this would be for named characters only. This along with the Defender below were initially disappointments for me when I found out they would be part of this series. The weapons are VERY nicely detailed, especially the top three.
The only big difference between the backs of each card is that the figure in the package isn’t on the back. The back of a card above is Master Chief’s. Left to right above we have: Orbital Spartan, Spartan Thorne, Master Chief, Buck (ODST), Spartan Vale, and Defender Spartan. This is one time where I got two sets so that I could have one kept mint and another to open. One thing to take note is that Mega Bloks could have gone the cheaper route and had all of these with the same card printed front and back and only the insert be different.
